M100T / M5000T

Shaft Speed Switch

Features
•  Internal sensor
•  SPDT relay output
•  5-100 rpm (M100T), 100-5,000 rpm
   (M5000T) under-speed setting
•  Terminal block for easy wiring
•  115, 230 VAC (50-60 Hz) and 12, 24 VDC power options
•  Works with Electro-Sensors magnetic pulser discs/wraps
•  Optional EZ-100 Mounting Bracket and Mounting Magnet
•  Cast aluminum explosion proof (XP) housing
•  UL Listed Class I, Div I (C, D) Class II, Div I (E, F, G)

The M100T and M5000T are compact, self-contained shaft rotation monitoring speed switches ideal for detecting unwanted slowdown or stoppage of process equipment. They have a terminal block inside the housing for easy wiring connection, calibration, and installation. The M100T has a relay setpoint range of between 5 rpm and 100 rpm. The M5000T has a relay setpoint range of between 100 rpm and 5,000 rpm; this is the range where the relay can be set to trip.

In the event of a rotational failure, such as broken drives, belt slippage, product overloads, clogs and jams, the SPDT 5-Amp control relay can be used to provide equipment shut down and/or alarm. This detection of a developing problem enables proactive maintenance to prevent equipment damage, product waste, and excessive downtime.

Speed switches are commonly used to monitor drivetrains, power driven components, crushers, exhaust fans, screw conveyors, or tail pulleys on belt conveyors and elevator legs.

FB420

Shaft Speed Sensor with Relay

Features
  • Self-contained system with built-in speed sensor and speed switch
  • Relay can be set for over-speed or under-speed
  • Housing is explosion proof and water resistant
  • 4-20 mA output directly proportional to shaft speed
  • Provides real-time preventive maintenance feedback
  • Class I, Div I (C, D) Class II (E, F, G)

The Electro-Sensors FB420 speed sensor provides a 4-20 mA signal directly proportional to the rotational speed of a monitored shaft and has a 4 digit LCD display capable of displaying from 0.000 to 9,999 rpm or from 4 to 20 mA, the display is also used for calibration and trouble-shooting. The FB420 has one relay that can be programmed for failsafe over-speed alarm or failsafe under-speed alarm. Typical applications for Speed Switches and Speed Sensors include belt conveyors, drag conveyors, bucket elevators, fans, blowers, crushers, and pumps.

Digital Speed Switch

Features
• Works with remote/external pulse frequency output sensor
    (NPN, PNP, or Mag Pick-up)
• DPDT relay output
• Under-speed setpoint adjustment from 0.5-5,000 rpm (at 8 PPR)
• Terminal blocks for easy wiring
• 115, 230 VAC (50-60 Hz) and 12, 24 VDC power options
• Rugged explosion proof / NEMA 4X housing
• UL Listed Class I, Div I (C, D) Class II, Div I (E, F, G)

The DR1000 speed switch is ideal for detecting unwanted slowdown or stoppage of process equipment and is commonly applied to drive trains, power driven components, crushers, exhaust fans, screw conveyors, tail pulleys on belt conveyors, and elevators.

Shaft Speed Switch

Features
  • Failsafe operation
  • Setpoint ranges: 1-100 and 10-1000 rpm
  • Built-in 10-second start delay
(Other options available, see data sheet "SCP & LRB Software Specials List")
  • DIN rail or stand-alone mounting
  • Dial-in calibration does not require power
  • ETL approved to UL 508 standard

The LRB1000 (single relay, 1 setpoint) and LRB2000 (double relay, 2 setpoints) shaft speed switches are an efficient way to continuously monitor machine rpm and provide relay protection upon detection of an unwanted change in speed or stoppage of the monitored shaft. The LRB1000 and LRB2000 are completely field adjustable while the machinery is at rest; there is no need to run the shaft. They feature visual setpoint adjustment for dial-in ease and the precise digital circuitry provides high accuracy, repeatability, and reliability.
