Total Incombustius Analyzer

Model 8867 total unburnt analyzer allows continuous analysis of combustion gases or other oxygen-poor gases to determine the concentration of total unburnt (typically expressed as CO, CH4 or H2 depending on the most representative component). The measurement is based on the unbalancing of a Wheatstone bridge caused by the oxidation of the gas measured through a catalytic combustion. A dilution air stream is circulated together with the process gas through the sensitive unit and the combustion takes place on a catalyzed platinum filament which constitutes the active branch of the bridge. The other active branch is an identical sensor without catalytic properties. Both are influenced identically by variations in flow, temperature and background composition.
